| We started this from the things that we bought and traded over the last ten years in West Africa, Central America, the Middle East. Then in early 2006, we took a 2 month trip to Central America, starting in Panama and ending in Guatemala for the purpose of meeting and seeking out artists and craftspeople. The barn is very cool in itself. Having been built in the early 1800's it contains an eclectic collection of things in a variety of prices. Recently, we've also started to buy and sell handmade rugs from a man that buys bales from the Middle East. We have a lot of knowledge on most of the items including where they were made, stories behind them, the artists etc. We also have learned a lot from the people that visit the gallery. One of the nicest things for us is the people that do make it out to the end of the dirt road, like minded, fascinating folks of whom many we are getting to know as friends. The other thing that we can help you with is where to go, especially in Central America or West Africa. We have our favorite spots that we'd love to share with you.
